The conference kick-started on May 25th, 2015 morning in Johannesburg, South Africa at Hotel Sandton on INSURANCE CLAIMS MANAGEMENT for AFRICA & THE MIDDLE EAST. Two days long conference was focused on “Improving customer retention whilst decreasing costs and improving operational efficiency”. AWPL participated in this conference as a sponsor where we got an opportunity to have a close interaction with Industry’s Influencers.
Let’s take a quick look at the event.
First day, Romil Turakhia, Chief of Global Sales and Marketing, represented AWPL in a panel discussion on “What are the major challenges that regional insurers are facing at the moment?”
Along with Romil Turakhia, Senior Executives who shared the panel were Vickey Swanevelder, Head Claims, Claims Support and Customer Relations from Momentum, South Africa; Andrew King, Head of Claims Preparation and Valuation, Aon Gulf Ltd, UAE; and a senior officer from 3i InfoTech, South Africa. Panel Discussion concluded on the note of:
- Getting ready for TCF implementation plan across insurers multiple business models & product lines
- Discussion from different regional perspectives: Africa, Middle East and Europe, gave a fair direction on where the industry is going
On 26th May, 2015, AWPL got an opportunity to address the participants on “Case Management for Claims” presented by Romil Turakhia. His presentation impressed the audience so much so that later he got speaker rating of 3.5 over 4, voted by the audience.
